The "Tian Zi Ge Research Fund" was established in 2010 by Yang Xiaodong and Xiao Shijian to support children and teenagers in rural regions of China in their studies. The "Tian Zi Ge Rural Issues Research Project" was launched through a donation from "Tian Zi Ge Education Aid" to the Department of Sociology at Peking University. The project aims to provide funding for students, including those majoring in Sociology at Yuanpei College, to conduct research on rural issues.
Each year, the project funds 10 research projects, with a maximum grant of 3,000 yuan per project. The funding will be used to cover research expenses including accommodation, transportation, and other relevant costs.
The application for the funding will be announced during the spring semester of each academic year, and applicants are required to fill up and submit the application form.
