The Department of Sociology offers two second-level disciplines: Sociology, Demography, and Anthropology. Research areas under these disciplines include Sociology of Organization, Labor Sociology, Rural and Urban Sociology, Social Survey and Research Methods, Sociological Theory, Economic Sociology, Sociology of Development, Social Psychology, History of Chinese Social Thoughts, Social Demography, Social Statistics, Social Movements and Collective Action, Sociology of Religion, Social Policy, Social Welfare, Social Anthropology, Cultural Studies and more.

Applications are only accepted through the school's admission system.
