Planned enrolment consists of 56 full-time students, including 29 recommended exemption students. The remaining slots will be filled by candidates from the postgraduate entrance examination. The number of enrolment slots available for postgraduate entrance examination candidates may vary based on the actual intake of recommended exemption students.

Registration

Students must complete their registration at the Dean's Office within the given period each semester (visit our homepage at: http://www.shehui.pku.edu.cn/). Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of scholarships. If a student is unable to register on time due to reasons such as fieldwork, overseas exchange or training programs, they must inform the Dean's Office by email or phone at least 3 days in advance and submit a leave application form for approval.

Course Selection

Students may take courses offered by other departments during their studies, and the credits earned will count towards their unrestricted elective credits. However, students are not encouraged to take undergraduate courses. Course selection and withdrawal can be completed online at the beginning of each semester.
